Chef Dez

Chef Dez has written many cookbooks but this was his first attempt at a self-help book based on his life experiences. I was able to edit and proofread the book on Dez’s very tight timeline so he could meet his publishing date. Keep Moving Forward.

BC Chicken Growers Association

The Association wanted to attract and train more farmers for their agri-fair program. I created and delivered an ambassador training program that helped farmers feel more comfortable speaking with members of the public at events such as the PNE.

The program included key messaging, tips on how to answer difficult questions, how to handle protests, tips on how to engage with the public and more. The program was delivered in five online sessions and included time for the farmers to practice using the key messages.

BC Farm Writers' Association

BCFWA is a volunteer-run organization and the national conference rotates between chapters each year. In 2027, the conference will be held in BC; however, the organization didn’t want to ask a volunteer to take on the role of conference lead.

As a member of BCFWA, I was pleased to provide the necessary expertise at a discount. The conference includes a full day of farm tours and a full day of professional development.

BC Agriculture Council

BCAC’s public trust lead was taking parental leave and they needed someone to take on the public trust work while she was gone. Not only do I lead the public trust work but I am also assisting with events such as the first annual BC Agriculture Forum and BCAg Day in Victoria.

Seed World Canada

Seed World had two Prairie-based clients who were just starting out in the world of online marketing. One had a website that was many years old and contained outdated information while the other client had never had a website. I was able to work with the developers and the clients to write the copy needed for both websites.

Farming Smarter

I am a regular contributor to their semi-annual magazine. I have contributed to the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 issues.

Radio Amateurs of Canada

Blurb to go here!

Amanda is a highly responsive and detail-oriented professional who brings a thoughtful, methodical approach to her work. Her experience in event production, marketing, media management, and public engagement consistently contributes to BCAC’s efforts in advancing our provincial agriculture sector’s priorities.
